Student-athletes in the ACT learning lab

Five steps. No mystery, no pressure.

Admissions exists to place an athlete honestly. We would rather turn someone away in October than watch them struggle silently in February.

ACT
01

Enquiry

Tell us the athlete's age, current level, and what you both want from the next twelve months. Five minutes, no forms.

02

Watch or be watched

Come and see a session, or send us recent game footage. Either way we need to see the player thinking, not just scoring.

03

Assessment

A physical block, a skill block, and a short reasoning conversation. It measures coachability and current baseline, not potential.

04

Written plan

You receive a placement recommendation, the timetable it implies, and the specific work that would move the athlete up a stage.

05

Confirm

Paperwork, kit, classroom licensing, and a start date. Mentor assigned within the first four weeks.

What to have ready.

Nothing that takes a week to gather. If you do not have one of these, say so and we will work around it.

01

Recent game footage, or a school team contact who can speak for the player

02

School transcript or current academic standing

03

Any medical or injury information we should plan around

04

A realistic view of travel and availability

05

The athlete's own words about what they want

How a place is decided.

Four things, in this order: coachability, current baseline, capacity to manage a full timetable, and household support for the commitment. Athletic ceiling is the thing we are least able to judge at first meeting, so we weight it least.

See what it costs

Cohort size

Capped by instructor and film-review time, never by demand.

Intake windows

Autumn and spring, with rolling places when a cohort has room.

Trial term

First four weeks are reviewed together, by both sides.

Leaving

Simple, no penalty, no hard feelings. The network keeps your number.

Start with a five-minute conversation.

Tell us who the athlete is and where you are stuck. We will tell you straight away whether ACT is the right fit.
